We recently had the privilege of participating in the restoration of the Ventura Missionary School gymnasium after the Thomas Fire had damaged a portion of the structure. The project required the application of 30 plus gallons of odor inhibiting primer to block the fire smell after insulation removal. This was followed by the application of high-performance industrial enamel to provide the maximum durability for such a high traffic area. In addition there was an existing decal that could not be easily replaced. Working with the school staff and general contractor we were able to come up with a solution to preserve the decal and make it look like a natural part of the gym restoration. The space is now ready for use by the school and community. As a side-note, this is actually the second time we’ve painted the gym! We had the pleasure to paint it when it was new almost 20 years ago.
